(Unrelated to cars, and just to put out there openly, since I don't often trouble people with my personal problems)
To the person who will never read this:
Sometimes, while you slept, I'd embrace you and run my fingers through your hair while telling you how proud of you I was. When you were awake, our relationship wasn't always smooth, but I never stopped appreciating your viewpoints, because I always wanted you to be happy.
And even though you're gone, I still love you, long after you've forgotten what it's like to love me. For my love is as eternal as I promised you it would be, which is exactly why I sacrifice my happiness to insure that you remain as such, and will continue to do so, as long as we both shall live.
In a Mini; let them mock me as My Mini Countryman is higher than you

WHY DO WE SHARE THE SAME SENTIMENTS.
They are literally exactly the same.

Well when you let up on something or someone you love, so that it can be happy, even though you're sure the happiness is superficial, you sacrifice a part of your humanity.
I think it's something everyone does who has truly loved. Even when people say they hate their exes, the very fact that they're willing to say as much is indicative of a strong emotional and psychological attachment; IE, Love.
I'm sorry you have to suffer through the same thing I do. I hope you haven't been dealing with it for 3 years, like I have.

So very true. The situation was precarious for us, because even though we liked each other intensely, we weren't able to share our lives together because we led such different individual ones. He was dropped out of school and was working in a far-away 7 Eleven because of bullying. I'm still focusing on my education and I have so little time now. He found solace in me and we were happy when we were physically together, but the long times we spent apart strained us. He and I knew it wasn't going to work out. Fortunately, we both understood and willingly accepted the reasons behind why we ended the relationship. I'm especially glad that I gave him the confidence to restart his life by encouraging him that it wasn't all over and that he could study and take his exams again. I haven't heard from him since, but I hope I will...
Also, being in a relationship makes you realise that spooning is one of the nicest things you could possibly do. Ever. So comfortable...

Well, for me, I stopped pursuing her so that she could pursue her short term goals and ambitions with someone else, and could see how difficult it is to live a life based off "status", which is both fundamentally unimportant and psychologically, emotionally, and physically taxing. When I met her, she had realistic goals and realistic ambitions. But as she became more and more self-absorbed, her goals and ambitions went from realism to superficiality... And I knew I had to let go if I was going to ever give her the chance to change and see it.
I won't get into all the really nitty gritty, but I can understand where you're coming from. Sometimes it's best to let go, if you ever expect it to come back. Maybe one day he'll see how important he is to you, and maybe one day she'll see how important she was to me. And maybe not.
The point is that we did what's best for them, and can only wish for them to be happy in the future, above our own personal happiness.
And yes, spooning is the greatest thing ever created, lol.
